Malayalee having won the toss
opted to bat - while opening bat Harsha raced to 25, wickets
tumbled the other end - Malayalee aided by 11 extras were
bowled out for 101 in 17.2 overs - with (3x6’s &
5x4’s) - with tight bowling, (Dale’s 3 wickets
in his 1st over), many Malayalee batsmen went for the big
hit instead of perhaps going for singles to keep score moving.
In reply CT’s opener was clean bowled 1st ball, but
fellow opener Sam Harris batted sensibly with Will Hart to
take score to 49-1 - tight bowling, varying fielding from
a one handed catch on the boundary to keeper squandering 2
catches, a couple of careless overthrows, along with a flurry
of wickets took Trust to 94-6 after 16 overs -3 runs off a
tight 17th over, meant 5 needed last over - 1, dot, wide,
dot, 1, then a 2 off 5th ball saw Trust victors by 4 wickets
with a ball to spare, finishing on 102-6 in 17.5 overs
Competitive game played in good spirit, umpired by Austin
& Adrian - on reflection, Malayalee may will feel this
was a game they should have won, such was the small margin
at the end.
