Match Report V Glamorgan Centurions

29 May 2015

In the words of the skipper “probably the best I've been involved in since I joined the Eclipse ranks” and I don’t think anyone who played would disagree. So what if they were indoor champions and had their Ex Glamorgan player (with his shirt to prove it) the Centurions were put to the sword (Including 7 catches)

Player ratings, Luke excellent, Ali excellent, Vince double excellent, Tim excellent, skipper excellent, The Purve excellent, Jamesie excellent, Nasher triple excellent (see score card), Ryan excellent, Dyl excellent (and he cycled there), Brizer didn’t do too bad either.

Champaign moment? Luke’s chanceless 30 NO, Nashers 3rd over (see if you can play any of those deliveries!), Jamesies best score for Eclipse (including some mighty blows to the edge of the square), Ali’s run out throw from the boundary for the last wicket, or the nimble pussey Purve behind the stumps? Difficult decision but without doubt Vince’s 2 catches steal the show, the first one especially would have graced any Test Match at Lords. Fine coffers only up £2, £1 for Jamesies drop (must have gone up 150 feet) and Ali’s self imposed fine for his getting out short, lacking poise ability, skill, well everything really.

As we all retired to the Holly Bush and as I sat in warm contemplation over a pint of Rev James, our own Resident Evil, Tim Richardson lurked in the shadows and it reminded me that the report should also be scathing. Jimbo and Niluka, thanks for NOT turning up when you were on the list (for the latter the venue was on your doorstep) hefty fines await both you pussies and any complaints will see them double. Ryan, aged 12 put you both to shame, hang your heads low boys.

PS note this report is not stuck in my outbox
