Eclipse suffer second league defeat by 65 runs
· Summary – Eclipse CC couldn’t hit the backside of a cows arse with a bango let alone a cricket ball with a bat.
· Bowling – All started well with Chartered Trust kept to a low run rate until the usual suspect, Steve Mohring came into bat and smashed 49 quickly. Notable moments, RDJ pick of the bunch with 3 wickets for 7 runs, Steve Parker with 1 wicket for 33 runs and Luke Bonelle with 1 wicket for 14 runs. Also must be noted that Chris Hamblin’s 2 overs went for 40 runs with 33 coming from the second over alone.
· Batting – As the summary note says, we couldn’t hit the backside of a cows arse with a bango with only Mike Williams getting into double figures scoring 26 before being run out by RDJ (although RDJ says he made his end so Mike had no excuse). Brian & RDJ were the second top run scorers with 8 each. Other notable moments, the two Chris’ both getting first ball ducks and Ali deciding to leave a straight ball.
· Other points – Brian was showing off his bright purple pants much to the perves enjoyment whilst RDJ was showing everyone else a lot more when his pants come down whilst stopping a ball in the field. The fine pot keeps building nicely and by the way things are going we will be having our curry night in Delhi.
Champagne moment – whilst RDJ may have the stand out match figure with his bowling, it was Ali’s catch at cow corner off RDJ’s bowling that gets the prize. A good job he had his pre match ritual otherwise there would likely be a brown stains through his trousers the height the ball went up.
